Our story
Marco studied Economics and Finance because he wanted to understand how numbers work. He understood fairly quickly that what really interested him was understanding how places work — neighbourhoods, homes, the people who live in them. At 31, after graduating, he decided to bet on Palermo: one of the great ancient capitals of the Mediterranean, with a UNESCO World Heritage historic centre, a cuisine that needs no introduction and a gulf — from Mondello to Sferracavallo, through to Mazzaforno and Marina di Cinisi — that few people outside Sicily have truly discovered. He started by choosing homes one by one, for their character and for what they could say. And from there, Apartments in Sicily was born.

Every guest is welcomed in person; every owner has a direct point of contact.
The daily work of Apartments in Sicily moves on two fronts, with the same attention. Towards guests: in-person welcome, support throughout the stay, advice on where to go and what to do in Palermo. Towards owners: complete property management, transparent monthly reporting, direct communication with no intermediaries.
The collection is deliberately small. Every home was selected for its character — a noble palazzo in the historic centre, a villa overlooking the gulf, an apartment with a terrace steps from the markets. No anonymous properties, no remote management. Every guest is welcomed in person; every owner has a direct point of contact. It's a model that doesn't scale infinitely, and that's exactly the point.
