A centre you can walk
Old Palermo is compact: from the Cathedral to Teatro Massimo, from Kalsa to Ballarò, everything is walkable. Our homes sit along via Maqueda and the Cassaro, inside that perimeter — none of them needs a car for daily life.
What is outside the front door
The Norman Palace and the Palatine Chapel, the Arab-Norman Cathedral, Teatro Massimo, the Capuchin Catacombs. Plus the three historic markets — Vucciria, Ballarò, Capo — grocery shopping by day, street-food dinner by night.
The sea, when you want it
The centre is not on the sea, but the sea is close: Mondello, Addaura and Sferracavallo are about twenty minutes away. Guests who want both often split the stay — a few nights in town, a few by the water — and we can arrange that across two of our homes.

- Every home is in the historic centre: monuments, markets and restaurants are all walkable.
- Central station
- About 15 minutes from our homes in the centre.
- Falcone Borsellino airport
- Served by the shuttle bus: the nearest stop to our homes is two minutes on foot. We can also arrange a private transfer.
- Driving and the ZTL
- The old town is a restricted traffic zone and parking is not straightforward. If you are arriving by car, message us first and we will tell you where to leave it.
- Beaches
- Mondello, Addaura and Sferracavallo about twenty minutes from the centre.
Who it suits
Anyone here for the city: monuments, street food, markets, evenings out. Anyone who would rather not drive. Anyone staying two or three nights who wants to see the most without commuting. If you want the beach downstairs, look at Mondello instead.
Frequently asked questions
Is Palermo’s historic centre noisy at night?
It depends on the street. The market and nightlife areas stay lively late, while other streets in the same district are quiet. Each home’s page shows its exact position: if quiet matters, message us and we will point you to the right one.
Do I need a car to stay in central Palermo?
No, and it is often a nuisance: the old town has a restricted traffic zone and parking is the main headache for those arriving by car. For day trips it is better to rent one only for the days you need it, or book one of our private driver-guided tours.
How do I get here from the airport?
There is a shuttle bus from Falcone Borsellino airport, stopping a few minutes on foot from our homes in the centre. If you land at night, with luggage or as a group, we can arrange a private transfer.
Can I check in late?
Standard check-in is from 15:00. We welcome guests in person, so late arrivals are arranged in advance: send us your flight or train time and we will sort it out.
